About Us

Native Leaf products are hand-crafted from natural, sustainable, indigenous plants from the Philippines, using techniques passed down from generation to generation. We work closely with producer partners and family weaving groups who create our products. We do not have a factory, rather our weaver artisans work from their homes around the needs of their family.

Following fair-trade business guidelines, we provide financial assistance, training, equipment and design guidance and pay a fair wage in the local context.

In projects where we do not directly provide materials, we advance from 25% and up to 50%of the final price to our work partners to assist them in procuring raw materials and supplies.  Photo above is Myrna, one of Native Leaf’s weaving partners, holding a bundle of romblon (pandanus) leaves.

The income generated from creating beautiful Native Leaf products supplement or provide a complete income to many families. It’s a small planet, we care, and are proud to offer our beautiful products made without harm to our environment.

Native Leaf is a Green America, Gold Certified Business.

Founded in 1982, Green America is a not-for-profit membership organization with a mission to“harness economic power—the strength of consumers, investors, businesses, and the marketplace—to create a socially just and environmentally sustainable society.

Native Leaf shares the Green America Vision “to work for a world where all people have enough, where all communities are healthy and safe, and where the bounty of the Earth is preserved for all the generations to come”.
